How to replace the door panel and glass on a Land Rover Freelander

Open the door involved. Remove the door panel: remove any covers or inserts that hide the panel screws; unscrew all the fixing screws you find, including the hidden ones; carefully detach the panel from the door. It may be necessary to use a plastic tool or a coated screwdriver to avoid damaging the paint or the panel itself. Disconnect the electrical connectors and the handle cable, if present. Disconnect the glass from the lifting mechanism. It may be necessary to remove other screws or components to access the mechanism. Remove the broken glass carefully to avoid further damaging the door or injuring yourself. Install the new glass making sure it is securely attached to the lifting mechanism and moves freely without hindrance. Reassemble the door panel following the steps in reverse order.
