This guide shows how to remove the dashboard of a 1992 Lexus SC400: it is a complex operation, so work carefully. First, disconnect the battery; remove the lower dashboard panel under the steering wheel, secured by clips, locating them by hand and releasing them with a plastic tool; then disconnect all connectors. This will expose the screws securing the instrument cluster shell, which we will remove. At this point, pull the dashboard shell towards you, and you will see several electrical connectors behind it; remove those from one side first, then those from the opposite side. Don't hesitate to take a photo before removing them, so you know how to reposition them later.
