Follow these steps to perform routine maintenance by replacing the engine oil and oil filter on the Maruti Sx4. First, lift the vehicle and start draining the engine oil by removing the drain bolt located on the oil pan; let it drain into a container for about ten minutes.

Next, unscrew and remove the oil filter cartridge using the appropriate wrench; hand-tighten the new one gently.

Finally, pour in the new engine oil, checking the level with the dipstick.
