Reprogramming the key of a 2012 Mazda 5 vehicle is a very simple operation, which can be done independently. We start the programming by opening the driver's door and closing and opening the vehicle with the remote control three times.

We then continue by getting into the vehicle and closing and opening the driver's side door three times in a row. We finish by turning on and off the vehicle's instrument panel three times in a row.
