How to Replace the Key Battery in the Mazda 5

To independently replace the button battery inside your Mazda 5 key (2005-2015), carefully read the following guide and follow the steps described. First, obtain a small flat screwdriver. Use it to separate the top part of the cover from the bottom part. Then, take the bottom part and open it using the flat screwdriver. Finally, locate the dead battery and replace it with a new one (model CR1620). Reassemble the key and you are done.
