Water Pump Replacement

Model: Mazda Mpv LW - Years 1999-2006

Open the front bonnet and remove the plastic engine cover: the water pump is located on the right side of the engine (when facing forward), right next to the battery; when starting the engine, you may notice an eccentric rotation of the pump pulley, indicating that the bearing or the support bush of the shaft has likely failed. Remove the old belt and proceed to unscrew the pump's mounting bolts to remove it; then fit the new pump and its gasket, tightening the mounting bolts. Install a new belt and restore the coolant level.
