Replace the Brake Switch on the Mazda Miata in Minutes

The electrical part of the car is among the most complex and vulnerable, and you often encounter issues with various switches. Among these is the brake light switch. However, maintenance in this case is quite simple. Follow these steps carefully. Remember to keep the car off for the entire procedure and disconnect the negative terminal of the battery. Place a torch near the pedals for better visibility. Unscrew the screws and remove the entire plastic cover located just below the steering wheel. At this point, you have free access to many wires in the pedal area. Locate the brake switch and disconnect it from the connector. Replace it with a new model. Refit the plastic cover and finally reconnect the negative terminal of the battery.
