Removal and Reinstallation of the Radio Unit

Model: Mazda CX-5 MK 1, KE - Years 2012-2017

This video explains how to remove and install the radio unit from a Mazda CX-5. The operation takes no more than half an hour. First, disconnect the negative terminal of the battery. Empty and remove the glove compartment (passenger side) by detaching the side hinges from the inside. Starting from the passenger side, unclip all the clips that secure the panel ending with the air vent grilles. Disconnect the electrical connection at the back of the grille panel. Using your hands, detach the monitor frame which is secured by four clips, then, using a Phillips screwdriver, unscrew the three screws that hold the radio unit in place. Extract the unit by unclipping the side clips that keep it secure. Disconnect all electrical connections at the back. To refit the unit (either the repaired old one or a completely new one), reverse all the disassembly steps.
