Replacement of the V-belt

Model: Mazda 6 GG, MK 1 - Years 2002-2008

This video tutorial shows the procedure to remove and replace the worn V-belt of a Mazda 6. To gain better access to the belt, you need to remove the inner wheel cover. Take a star screwdriver and remove three small screws that hold the panel, then pull it out. Now, using a 15 mm spanner, loosen the tension of the belt by turning the nut located at the centre of the pulley. This will allow you to remove the worn belt. Using the same principle, you can also replace the timing belt.
