How to Change the Automatic Gearbox Oil of the Mazda CX-5

To change the oil of the Mazda CX-5 gearbox, start by lifting the car on the left side (driver's side), go under the car and remove the cover of the oil sump. Using an 8 mm Allen key, unscrew the oil drain plug, placing a container underneath. While the oil drains, lower the car, go to the engine, remove the air filter housing by unscrewing the 2 screws with a 10 mm socket, disconnect the connector and the 2 hoses (1 larger and 1 smaller) and the rubber grommets, then remove the air filter housing. After removing the air filter housing, disconnect the intercooler hose by first removing the clip and the plastic cover and place some paper inside the hose to prevent anything from falling inside; unscrew the filler cap with a 10 mm socket, which also has the dipstick for the upper oil level. Now raise the car again, screw in the oil drain plug with a torque wrench and an 8 mm Allen key; using something that can reach the filler cap from above (a syringe is used in the video), pour in approximately the indicated litres (3.5 litres initially in the video), reassemble only the air filter cover so that the connector and the large hose connect, start the car, engage the gears (P, R, N, D and sequential), bring the engine to a temperature of 50°C, check the oil level with the dipstick, add as necessary to reach the level, reassemble everything and take it for a test drive. After the test drive, allow the engine to cool down, remove the air filter housing, bring the engine to 50°C, recheck the level and top up if necessary; finally, reassemble everything and the operation is complete.
