How to Release the Electric Handbrake on the Mazda CX-5?

To release the electric handbrake on the Mazda CX-5, press the brake pedal: while holding it down, pull up the lever located in the centre console of the car. This is the manual procedure to release the handbrake; however, there is also an automatic procedure that will release the handbrake. When the driver's door is closed, the seatbelt is fastened, and the gear lever is in a position other than neutral, you can release the clutch and press the accelerator, allowing the handbrake to release automatically.
