Injector Rail Replacement and Maintenance

Model: Mazda 6 GG, MK 1 - Years 2002-2008

Open and lift the bonnet, then to protect the electrical components, disconnect the negative cable from the battery. Remove the cover above the engine and start disconnecting the connectors attached to each injector, as well as the larger connector connected to the entire rail pipe; also disconnect it from the clip that holds all the wiring in place, on both sides. Now you need to remove the pipe that leads fuel into the rail and cap it with the plug located above. Remove the 2 bolts on the rail and gently start to move the rail to extract it. Now you can perform the necessary maintenance and follow the steps in reverse for reassembly.
