How to Dismantle a Mazda6 Window Motor

Model: Mazda 6 GG, MK 1 - Years 2002-2008

In this video, we will see how to dismantle a window motor from your car. First, get a plastic spatula and remove the trim around the door. Extract the window control buttons and gently disconnect all the clips without breaking the plastic parts. Unscrew the screws on the entire door panel, detach the various plastic rivets, then remove the door opening trim. Pull the door panel and disconnect the relevant power cables, being careful not to damage the parts. Once the plastic panel is removed, secure the glass with tape, dismantle the door opening lever, and disconnect the relevant cables for the external mirror and speakers. Unscrew all the screws from the metal panel with a socket wrench. Once removed, unscrew the window motor from the glass and the door with its respective rail. Ensure that the glass does not slide down into the door cavity. Obtain the new window motor and screw it to the glass and the metal frame, position the glass cover panel, the door opening cable, screw everything back together, and reconnect all the power cables. Finally, reassemble the handle and the door panel, remembering all the associated screws.
