If the key of your Mazda CX 5 (first series) suddenly stopped working and you are sure that the cause of the problem is the dead battery, then all you have to do is follow the following procedure in order to replace it without any difficulty. First of all, make sure you have a new battery (CR 2032 model) and a crosshead screwdriver at hand. Use the screwdriver to unscrew the small screw located on the back of the cover and then remove the cover itself. Finally, remove the dead battery and replace it with the new one.
