How do you reset the automatic gearbox of the Mercedes E-Class?

On the Mercedes E-Class, the reset of the automatic transmission is performed by turning on the instrument panel, inserting the key into the ignition switch: once the instrument panel is turned on, you can press the accelerator pedal for at least thirty seconds. Afterwards, you will need to turn off the instrument panel and release the pedal; once this operation is completed, you will need to wait about a minute before starting the car again. At this point, once the engine is started, you can drive for about fifteen minutes, so that the transmission can adapt again.
