How to Replace the Front Headlamp on a Mercedes Vito

Replacing the front headlamps on Mercedes Vito vehicles of model W638 is a straightforward and quick task you can do yourself. To perform this operation, open the front bonnet of the vehicle and use a cross-head screwdriver to unscrew the fastening element of the radiator grille.

After removing the grille, you will need to remove the retaining clip of the indicator using round-nosed pliers. Once the clip is removed, take out the indicators and disconnect the connector from the headlamp.

Disconnect the pressure tube from the headlamp regulator using the round-nosed pliers again. Unscrew the headlamp fastening elements and remove the headlamp.

Disconnect the retaining clip of the headlamp cover to remove it. Disconnect the bulb connectors and the fastening elements. Remove the bulb and reassemble the removed components.

Connect the headlamp to its connector and secure the elements. Reconnect the pressure tube and the indicators.

Refit the radiator grille and close the bonnet.
