Replacement of Rear Brake Pads

Model: Mercedes Classe C W203 - Years 2000-2007

Lift the vehicle with a jack at the wheel you are working on, properly placing the plastic jack pad in the designated groove, and loosen the wheel's mounting bolts before fully lifting the vehicle (it is advisable to also place a jack stand under the vehicle and wheel chocks under the front wheels).
Once the wheel is removed, extract the center pin using a punch of appropriate diameter and a hammer: during extraction, the retaining spring (shaped like a leaf spring) of the pads will disengage.
At this point, leverage the pads with your hands to fully retract the pistons and create space for the new pads. Optionally, clean the rotor and caliper with appropriate cleaning spray. Then insert the new pads, position the retaining spring in its designated slot, and insert the pin passing it over the spring and driving it in until fully seated. Finally, remount the wheel, tightening the bolts appropriately.
