How to replace the water pump of the Mercedes C-Class W202/W203/W204.

In this video, we will see how to replace the water pump on the Mercedes C-Class, on the W202/W203/W204 models: first, we will need to drain the coolant by opening the drain valve on the radiator, at the bottom right. Then we will remove the accessory belt with a 17mm wrench; we will lift the tensioner and lock it in place with a pin. Some models have an additional pulley that obstructs access to the pump, so we will need to remove it with a wrench. The pump is secured with several hex screws: one screw in particular is difficult to reach, so we will need a socket screwdriver to remove it. Disconnect the connecting tube to the pump with a flat screwdriver, to press the release ring (but be careful not to damage the tube). Clean the surface in contact with the engine and install the new pump, which we may have found on auto-doc. It by SKF brand with code VKPC 88855 at a price of 61.36 euros + 9.95 euros for shipping. The gasket must also be new! Reassemble all the pieces in reverse order and fill the system with new coolant (using the type specified by Mercedes). Start the engine and check for any leaks.
