How to Replace the ESP Sensor on a Mercedes-Benz B-Class W245

If the ESP warning light illuminates on the instrument cluster and the car goes into recovery mode (meaning you cannot exceed a certain speed), it indicates a problem with the stability control system; this is a well-known issue common to many Mercedes models: the steering angle sensor (or steering column control module) located just behind the steering wheel, in the indicator stalk assembly, is damaged. It is recommended to replace it with a new one, which requires removing the airbag, the steering wheel, and then the indicator stalk to proceed with the installation in reverse order.
