Let's see how to change the engine oil and filter on a Mercedes E-Class. Lift your car using a column lift or jack and remove the bolt located under the oil pan with a socket wrench, allowing the oil to drain into a container for proper disposal. After all the oil has drained, reinstall the bolt in the pan and move on to the oil filter. Locate the oil filter cover, unscrew the large black filter cover, remove the old filter, and insert the new one. Ensure the cap is properly seated on the base. Finally, top off with the new fluid.
