Replacing the spark plugs on a Mercedes-Benz C-Class W205 or W206 requires attention but can be done by an enthusiast. First, ensure the engine is cool to avoid damaging the cylinder head threads, and disconnect the battery for safety. Open the hood and remove the engine cover. Disconnect the ignition coil connectors one at a time and remove the screws securing them. Pull out the coil and, using a 14 mm socket wrench, unscrew the spark plug. Be cautious of debris: clean the well with compressed air or a cloth before removing it. Before installing the new spark plug, check the electrode gap (if not pre-set). Hand-tighten it until fully seated, then tighten with the socket to the recommended torque (about 18-22 lb-ft). Do not overtighten. Reinstall the coil and repeat for all cylinders, then reconnect the battery and start the engine to verify.
