How to Remove the Rear Bumper on a Mercedes CLK

Is the rear bumper of your Mercedes CLK damaged? Here’s how to remove it. Open the boot, remove the fabric cover in the luggage compartment and the plastic trim covering the opening of the compartment. Unscrew the securing bolts located at the top of the bumper using a socket wrench. Unscrew the screws located at the sides of the wheel arch liners. Detach the bumper: grip the bumper with your hands and pull it away from the bodywork (disconnect any power cables if necessary). Fit the new rear bumper onto the bodywork: screw in the screws inside the luggage compartment, and reattach the plastic trim and fabric cover at the sides.
