EGR Valve Cleaning Instructions

The EGR Valve (Exhaust Gas Recirculation) functions to reintroduce some exhaust gases back into the intake for combustion, reducing emissions. However, constant contact with exhaust gases, often contaminated by oil leaks and unburned diesel, tends to clog it, dirtying both the exhaust and intake manifolds, reducing passage sections and consequently performance: the correct maintenance procedure is not just cleaning the valve, but also the manifolds. If no component of the valve is damaged, cleaning alone will restore its functionality.
