Mercedes Classe E - Video tutorial
Model: Mercedes Classe E
W210
- Years 1995-2002 The EGR valve (exhaust gas recirculation) has the function of introducing part of the exhaust gases back into the intake so as to repeat combustion and reduce emissions. However, constant contact with the exhaust gases, often contaminated by oil leaks and unburned diesel fuel, tends to clog it, contaminating both the exhaust and intake manifolds, reducing the passage sections and consequently the performance: the maintenance intervention correct is therefore not only the cleaning of the valve, but also of the manifolds. If no component of the valve has been damaged, cleaning alone will restore functionality.
