The EGR valve on the Mercedes E-Class is located inside the engine compartment. To locate it, open the hood: the device is found at the rear of the engine block, just below the exhaust manifold.

Once you have located the valve, disconnect the connector of the related sensor, then loosen the screws that secure it in place. Now you can remove the valve and install the new replacement part.

At this point, verify that the new valve functions correctly.
