To begin this process it is essential to determine the ignition order of your car. This information could be engraved directly on the engine body (on the cylinder head, on the valve covers or on the manifold) or reported in the maintenance manual among the various specifications, it will later be used to check the first cylinder. Disconnect the battery and the radiator hoses. Locate the timing diagram and proceed to release tension on the chain by compressing the spring. Remove the water pump heating pipes and then remove the water pump. Remove the cover of the timing chain by unscrewing it from the engine block and remove the chain by unscrewing the tension gears. To insert the new one it is advisable to lubricate everything.

How do you replace the battery of the BMW R 1250 GS?

In order to replace the battery of the BMW R 1250 GS it is necessary to loosen the bolts that secure the casing positioned on the left side of the bike, so that its cover can be removed. Once this has been removed, you will be able to access the components below, including the battery. The latter must be removed from its housing by disconnecting the power cables and unscrewing the appropriate fixing bolts.
