Replacing Front Brake Pads

Model: Mercedes Classe C W203 - Years 2000-2007

Once the vehicle is lifted and the front wheel is removed, unscrew the caliper mounting bolts and remove the caliper from its seat (pry between the rotor and caliper to slightly retract the piston and facilitate removal); then extract the old pads and shims; apply the new shims (usually included with the new pads) or clean the originals, insert the new pads, retract the caliper piston with a C-clamp, and reattach the caliper, applying the wear sensor. Pump the brake pedal until it offers the right resistance and pay attention during the first braking.
