Front Brake Pad Replacement

Model: Mercedes Classe C W203 - Years 2000-2007

Lift the vehicle on a hydraulic lift and remove the wheel where the repair will be performed.
Unscrew the two mounting pins of the brake caliper located at the rear and disconnect the wear sensor connector.
Using a medium-sized flathead screwdriver, pry between the rotor and the caliper to slightly retract the caliper piston and create enough clearance to remove the caliper.
Then remove the old brake pads and the corresponding retaining springs (new springs are generally included in the package of new pads) and clean the caliper bracket and caliper with appropriate spray.
Using a clamp, fully retract the brake caliper piston to accommodate the new pads.
Then unscrew the mounting pins of the caliper bracket and the brake rotor mounting pin; remove the rotor (if necessary, tap it with a hammer) and clean the hub; then reinstall the rotor (replace it with a new one if necessary).
Reinstall the brake caliper bracket, apply the retaining springs, and insert the new pads reconnecting the sensor connector; then reposition the caliper and tighten the respective mounting pins.
Reinstall the wheel and pump the brake pedal until it provides the correct resistance.
