Mercedes Classe C - Video tutorial

Model: Mercedes Classe C W203 - Years 2000-2007
Part: Brake pads
Operation: Replacement of front brake pads

Raise the car on a lift and remove the wheel to be repaired. Unscrew the two fixing pins of the rear brake caliper and unhook the wear sensor prsa. Using a fixed medium-sized screwdriver, pry between the disc and the caliper so as to slightly retract the caliper piston and create enough clearance to extract the caliper. Then remove the old pads and the relative sealing wheels (in the packaging of the new pads there are generally also the new springs) and wash the caliper support and the pincer itself with a special spray. Use a clamp to fully retract the brake caliper piston so as to be able to accommodate the new pads. Therefore unscrew the fixing pins of the caliper support and the fixing pin of the brake disc; remove the disc (if necessary give a few blows with the hammer) and wash the hub; then reassemble the disk (if necessary, replace it with a new one). Refit the brake caliper support, apply the sealing wheels and insert the new pads by reconnecting the sensor socket; then reposition the caliper and tighten the relative fixing pins. Refit the wheel and pump on the brake pedal until it offers the right resistance.

How do you replace the battery of the BMW R 1250 GS?

In order to replace the battery of the BMW R 1250 GS it is necessary to loosen the bolts that secure the casing positioned on the left side of the bike, so that its cover can be removed. Once this has been removed, you will be able to access the components below, including the battery. The latter must be removed from its housing by disconnecting the power cables and unscrewing the appropriate fixing bolts. In this way it will be possible to insert a new battery, properly fixing it and connecting it to the relative cables, covering everything with the casing.
