How to check the engine oil level on a Mercedes 2.0 CDI

To check the oil level on 2000 cc diesel Mercedes engines, you need to: open the driver’s side door, lift the hood release lever located at the bottom left under the dashboard. Open the hood and locate the oil dipstick, remove the dipstick and wipe it with a cloth or paper that leaves no residue. Identify the minimum and maximum oil levels on the dipstick. Reinsert the dipstick and after a few seconds, remove it again and check that the level is between the maximum and minimum. Finally, reinsert the dipstick.
