Mercedes Classe C - Video tutorial
Model: Mercedes Classe C
W204
- Years 2007-2013 In this video, we see how to remove and replace the passenger airbag on a Mercedes C-Class W204 version, which displays an error message on the dashboard: the first thing to do is to turn off the dashboard and disconnect the battery. We remove the covering of the pillar on the passenger side. We remove the fixing ring of the glove compartment so that we can remove it; we pay attention in case there is an AUX or USB socket in the compartment. On the top of the compartment, there is an air vent that needs to be removed. On the top of the dashboard, we identify the cover, open it, and disconnect the electrical connectors. Now we need to remove the central console, and then the air conditioning control panel, removing the electrical connectors. We remove the frame of the instrument panel and unscrew the screws that hold the dashboard in place. In the center of the central console, there are two screws that we will remove (highlighted in the video), then another one above the dashboard, and one on the extreme right side; from below, we can unscrew the passenger airbag, and by slightly lifting the dashboard (which is free), we can extract it. We put the new module in place, screw it in, and reposition the ventilation duct on the console, then proceed to close everything in reverse order.

Frequently Asked QuestionsHandbrake adjustment on Ford EcosportFirst remove the plastic profile at the base of the gear lever. To do this, slightly widen the side edges and carefully lift it to release it. There is no need to remove it completely, just move it forward to avoid bother. Now remove the plastic center console around the handbrake by first working from the rear to release it and lifting it until the brake lever passes. Also in this case it is not necessary to remove it completely but, paying attention to the connected cables, it can be stowed in front of the passenger seat. At this point we notice that at the base of the handbrake lever, on the front, we find a nut. By acting on it, with a 10 wrench, we can adjust the brake force, increasing it by turning the nut clockwise, or decreasing it by turning it counterclockwise. Once adjusted, the center console can be repositioned first, pressing lightly to engage it, and then the profile of the gearbox base. by ScegliAuto More videos
