If the vehicle has been driven on snowy roads treated with salt or very dusty roads, it is likely that dirt has accumulated under the fender covers, which could cause damage to the body; therefore, it is recommended to remove the wheel well liner and eliminate any dirt residue present. Ideally, lift the vehicle on appropriate jack stands, remove both the wheel and the wheel well liner, and perform a thorough cleaning instead of just shifting the liner for a quick clean.
