Replacing the Key Fob Battery for Mercedes-Benz

If pressing the unlock and lock button on the remote key does not respond to the door locks, the first possible cause is the depletion of the batteries (this remote uses two of model 2025); to replace the batteries, do not separate the shells of the remote, simply extract the metal key and then the rear cover of the remote by pressing the corresponding tab, which serves as the seat and support for the batteries; at this point, release the metal tab and free the bar that secures the batteries to remove the old ones and insert the new ones, secure them with the metal bar and then reassemble the remote.
