To replace the battery in a Mercedes C-Class, open the hood to access the components in the engine compartment. Locate the plastic cover under the windshield on the driver's side, which covers the device.

Remove this cover to access the battery underneath. The battery can be removed by unscrewing the mounting screws and disconnecting the power cables.

Insert the new battery and cover everything with the panel.
