How to Reset the Mercedes 7G TRONIC Automatic Gearbox

This video shows step by step the procedure to reset the 7G TRONIC gearbox on a Mercedes. The procedure is simple but will take a couple of minutes to complete. First, turn on the instrument cluster without starting the engine by placing the key in the second position. Then, press the accelerator pedal all the way down for about 15 seconds. After 15 seconds, turn off the instrument cluster and release the pedal. At this point, wait 2 minutes without opening the doors, windows, or turning on the radio to ensure the reset is completed. After 2 minutes, the procedure will be complete.
