Mercedes Classe A - Video tutorial
Model: Mercedes Classe A
W169
- Years 2004-2012 In this video, we see how to replace the rear brake pads of a Mercedes A-Class W169 version. Of course, first we need to remove the rear wheels and lift the car safely on jack stands (let's not rely too much on our jack). There are two nuts to unscrew to remove the calipers: they are 13mm and the locknut is 15mm. We push back the piston and remove the old brake pads, as well as the brake shoes (which we will clean thoroughly), and then we can install the new brake pads. We can apply some copper grease - specific for brakes - on the edges and then install them. We then reassemble the caliper, tightening the nut and locknut securely. We put the wheel back on and repeat the process on the other side.
