Mercedes Classe M - Video tutorial

Model: Mercedes Classe M W166 - Years 2011-2018
Part: Suspensions
Operation: How do Mercedes air suspensions work?

In this video, we see how Mercedes' air suspensions, called Air Body Control, work. They support the vehicle with the force of air and absorb the irregularities of the terrain in a way that traditional suspensions cannot guarantee. They adapt the car according to the road or driving style. This requires very refined mechanics, where each wheel has an air cylinder, and in each cylinder, there is a piston with three air chambers that can be independently activated with electrovalves pressurized by an electric compressor. Consequently, the ground clearance can be changed to adapt to different roads and have a setup capable of maximizing the advantages of four-wheel drive.

How do I unlock the automatic transmission of the BMW 3 Series?

In order to unlock the automatic transmission of the BMW 3 Series, the Start / Stop button and the lever release button must be pressed at the same time. This procedure will allow the car gearbox to be unlocked for about 15 minutes, so that in the event of an engine failure, the car can still be moved. It may be necessary to repeat the operation more than once for its success. After unlocking the gearbox, it can return to its original state by simply waiting for the aforementioned 15 minutes, or by pushing the release lever forward for a few seconds.
