In this video, you will learn how Mercedes air suspension, called Air Body Control, works. It supports the vehicle with air pressure and absorbs road irregularities in a way that traditional suspensions cannot guarantee, adapting the car according to the road or driving style.

This requires sophisticated mechanics, where each wheel has a pneumatic cylinder, and inside each cylinder is a piston with three air chambers that can be activated independently by solenoid valves pressurised by an electric compressor. As a result, you can change the ground clearance to adapt to different roads, thus achieving a setup that maximises the advantages of four-wheel drive.
