The replacement of the motor oil is necessary when, after the months since the last service, the red oil light comes on. Along with the oil, it is also necessary to replace the filter. Today we will see how to proceed on a Mini One. To start, we need to open the front hood and unscrew the oil tank cap, in order to facilitate the oil's exit from the sump. Immediately after, it will be necessary to lift the vehicle, for this we will use the jack stands. Once the car is lifted and secure, we can unscrew the nuts of the oil sump cap and let the old oil flow into a container. When the oil has completely drained, we can close the cap. To remove the filter, instead, we will need to unscrew the cap with a combination wrench and remove it, clean the housing and insert a new filter. Once we have lowered the car to the ground, we can pour the new oil into the tank.
