How do we go about replacing the engine oil filter on a Mini Countryman? Let's see in this video guide how to proceed. We open the car door and pull up the engine compartment opening lever located at the bottom left of the dashboard, lift up the front hood and put it in safety. With a socket wrench, unscrew the locking pin located on the vehicle's cooling water tank (operation to be done to access the filter), move it without disconnecting the pipes. Unscrew the oil filter holder cap with a special socket and remove the filter from the car body. After removing the filter, we unscrew the drain pin placed under the oil pan, let the liquid flow into a container (screw the pin back on). Finally, we insert the new filter and tighten the container, we top up the engine with the new liquid.
