Model: Mini Mini R56, R57, R55 - Years 2007-2014
Part: Engine oil

In this tutorial we can see how to replace the engine oil in the Mini Cooper, an extremely simple and quick operation. First of all, make sure that the engine is cool enough, then open the hood, locate the filter on the left side and unscrew the housing with a 27mm socket wrench. Then go under the vehicle, taking all necessary safety measures, unscrew the drainage hole bolt with an 8mm hex key and let all the oil contained in the system drain out. At this point, all that's left to do is reassemble everything and pour in the new oil through the appropriate hole.

How to Replace the Timing Belt on a Volkswagen Golf

To perform this simple operation, first lift the bonnet. Then, remove the upper engine cover and the plastic side cover that protects the timing belt. To create more space for the job, you can remove components next to the engine, such as the coolant reservoir, the windscreen washer pipe, and the fuel filter. This will allow you to remove the lower engine cover and the right wheel for better access to the area where you will be working. Now, relieve the tension from the tensioner pulley and remove the belt for replacement.
