How to Remove the Rear Bumper on an Outlander

Is the bumper on your Mitsubishi damaged? Let's remove the rear bumper and replace it. Here’s how to do it. Lift the tailgate, remove the covers on the sides, and unscrew the securing bolts located at the back of the tail lights: remove them after disconnecting the power connectors. Unscrew the screws located at the bottom of the bumper, then remove the screws located on the sides of the wheel arch liners (under the wing). Once the bumper is free from any screws or bolts, grasp it with your hands and pull it away from the bodywork (disconnect any power cables). Replace the bumper with one identical to the one removed.
