Disassembling the steering wheel airbag on a Nissan vehicle is a fairly simple operation to perform independently. To carry out this operation, we must insert a long enough screwdriver into the side holes on the steering wheel to activate the internal mechanism. We perform this operation first on the right hole and then on the left one. Once the central body is removed to disconnect the airbag and then remove the system, we must disconnect the connector. These same procedures can be carried out on Nissan vehicles such as the Qashqai, X Trail, Altima, Teana, and Rogue.

Lift the vehicle on suitable axle stands, remove the front wheels, and then the front bumper and grille. Proceed to remove the front headlights; drain the coolant, remove the intercooler radiator and the hoses connecting it to the intake system.
