Cleaning the MAF sensor of the Nissan Pathfinder MK4

If the engine of the Nissan Pathfinder is experiencing power gaps and difficulties at low speeds, the cause may be a dirty MAF sensor. To clean it, open the hood of the engine, you will find the sensor on the pipe coming out of the air filter. Disconnect the electrical connector, loosen the metal clamp of the pipe and open the filter cover to better remove the sensor. Using a T20 torx key, unscrew the two screws that secure the sensor body and remove it, spray a specific cleaner for these sensors, let it dry and reassemble the sensor by securing it with the screws. Put back the cover, tighten the clamp, and reconnect the connector.
