Replace the Timing Belt on a Nissan Micra

Prepare to replace the timing belt on a Nissan Micra: lift the car on a column lift or jack and remove the front wheel, using a screwdriver to take off the right wheel arch liner. Once these operations are complete, lift the bonnet, remove the engine soundproofing panel and the timing belt cover (metal or plastic cover). Using a suitable spanner, loosen the tensioner pulley and slide the belt off its seat. After fitting the new belt, use the spanner to tension the tensioner pulley until the correct tension of the belt (previously fitted) is achieved. Finally, check the tensioner and the belt itself, and tighten all the bolts with the socket wrench.
