How to Replace the Ignition Coil on a Nissan Qashqai

To replace the ignition coil on a Nissan Qashqai J10, first disconnect the flexible tube from the base of the ventilation system from the air duct, then unscrew the clamp and the fastening elements of the air filter intake tube. Disconnect the air intake tube from its housing, and the fastening elements connecting the throttle valve to the intake manifold. Disconnect the clamp and remove the connector and vacuum tube from the intake manifold near the throttle valve, then unscrew the fastening elements of the intake manifold support bracket. Disconnect the vacuum tube amplifier from the intake manifold, then unscrew the fastening elements of the intake manifold, which you will then remove. Cover the intake manifold with a cloth to prevent dust and dirt from entering. Now you can disconnect the ignition coil connector by unscrewing the bracket that holds the coil. Remove the ignition coil from the spark plug housing; now clean any dirt, dust, and debris from inside the spark plug housing. Install the new ignition coil; you should hear a "click" indicating it is securely in place. Reconnect the connector and tighten the fastening elements. Remove the cloth from the intake manifold and take out the old gasket; replace it with a new one. Now place it back, tightening the fastening elements, including the support bracket. Next, reconnect the vacuum tube amplifier to the intake manifold, then to the throttle valve. Finally, connect the connector and vacuum tube to the intake connector near the throttle valve, then the air intake tube to the air filter housing. Reconnect the flexible tube of the ventilation system to the air duct. Tighten the clamp and the fastening elements of the air filter intake tube. Start the engine for a few minutes to ensure everything is working correctly.
