To deactivate the passenger airbag in the Opel Astra, open the front passenger door to locate the switch on the side of the dashboard: inserting the key into this switch will allow you to turn it from ON to OFF. Once the switch is moved, the airbag will be deactivated, as indicated by the appropriate warning light that will illuminate; to reactivate the airbag, simply turn the switch back from OFF to ON.
