The removal of the airbag on an Opel Astra vehicle is a simple and quick operation that can be done independently. Before removing the steering wheel airbag, it is recommended to disconnect the car's battery to prevent it from activating during the removal process; after disconnecting the negative and positive terminals of the battery, we get into the vehicle. We insert a flat-head screwdriver into the side hole of the steering wheel, activate the internal lever of the airbag to remove the central body and disconnect the connector to remove the airbag. After performing this operation, if necessary, we can also remove the steering wheel by unscrewing the central nut.
