Let's see how to reset the service light on an Opel/Vauxhall Insigna: sit in the driver's seat and press the start button without touching the brake pedal; this will only turn on the instrument panel, but the engine will remain off. Press the central button on the right side of the steering wheel, and hold it down for a few seconds.

Simultaneously press the brake pedal: after a few seconds, the configuration menu will appear, and we can release the button and pedal.

Using the up/down buttons, scroll to the "vehicle maintenance" option and press "ok" to enter. Look for "reset maintenance status"; the system will ask if we are sure and confirm with "yes". The service light will be turned off.
