How to put the parking brake in service mode on the Opel Astra K

In this video, we will see how to put the parking brake in service mode on the Opel Astra K: this mode is useful in case we need to change the brake pads or discs on the rear brakes. Put the gear in neutral or "P", then turn on the ignition, but without starting the engine, then press the brake pedal 5 or 6 times, until the brake servo is emptied, then press the brake pedal and the parking brake switch for about 15 seconds, until the orange service light starts flashing. Now continue to hold down the brake pedal and release and press the button for 5 seconds, before the orange service light goes out, then release everything. The service light starts flashing and the rear calipers retract. To exit service mode, we must press the brake pedal while pulling the brake button, until the orange light goes out and the pistons come out again.
