On the Opel Astra K, changing the gearbox oil requires working both underneath the vehicle and from the engine bay. Start by preparing the necessary tools and securing the car: lift the Opel Astra K with a jack and focus on the area near the gearbox, where the drain point is located.

Once underneath the car, locate the drain plug for the gearbox and loosen it; as soon as it is freed, the old oil will begin to flow out. Ensure to manage the area to avoid mess and allow the oil to drain in a controlled manner.

Once drained, replace and tighten the drain plug. For refilling, a practical solution is shown in the video using a funnel made from a cut bottle, allowing you to pour new oil into the fill point with greater precision.

Next, move to the engine bay of the Opel Astra K, locate the upper access for topping up, and pour in the new oil using the funnel until the operation is complete. Finally, close the access used for filling and check for any leaks.
