Replacing the water pump on an Opel Astra? Open and lift the front bonnet, then remove the engine soundproofing panel (the cover piece for the belts). Identify the part to disassemble to access the water pump. Start disassembling the securing bolts of the water pump with a socket spanner as shown in the video. Fit the water pump in the engine bay, install the cover after cleaning it of any dirt and deposits. Refit the soundproofing panel and top up the reservoir with water (if there have been any leaks). Start the vehicle and check its operation.
