Valve Stem Seal Replacement

Valve stem seals are a part of your vehicle's maintenance. The following guide shows how to replace this part. Although it may seem difficult at first glance, with some mechanical knowledge and the right tools, it becomes a feasible task. This type of replacement can be performed with the engine still mounted, so there is no need to replace any mechanical parts. Locate the cylinder head, remove the air filter, and disconnect the battery cable to then take off the valve cover. Once done, you will see the cables that need to be pulled with a rotational movement. Use thin pliers to unscrew the pins located on the valve stem.
